Moldova wine guild preparing to ship red wines to Japan

The Wine Guild of Moldova, uniting the country’s 6 leading winemaking corporations, has decided to ship to Japan a consignment of red wines, known for their capacity to neutralize radio-nuclides and remove them from the human organism.

Wine Guild President Mrs. Nelly Sonic, a large wine company, stated to your Infotag correspondent that the Guild is offering a helping hand to the Japanese people facing a higher radiation risk due to the earthquake-caused accidents at the Fukushima atomic power plant.

Nelly Sonic said Lion Gri Company is now packing two large containers (to contain 28 thousand bottles of red wines) to be sent gratis to Japan, “and I am calling upon all winemakers to follow our example, despite the hard economic situation we all are in now, to ship red wines to disaster-hit Japan to thus demonstrate our participation and support for the Japanese people in such hard times”.

Mrs. Rodica Sturza, Director of the National Center for Alcoholic Produce Quality Control, told your Infotag correspondent that the Moldova-made red wines Cabernet, Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Cahors contain essential polyphenol compounds. Thank to them, these red wines inhibit radio-nuclides, arresting their destructive influence on the human organism.

“This is exactly why people staying in higher-radiation zones are strongly recommended to drink red wines in moderate amounts for prophylactic purposes”, said Rodica Sturza.

In the former Soviet Union, the teams of all atomic submarines were daily given small amounts of Moldova-made Cabernet or Cahors to minimize the influence of possible radiation.

Infotag’s dossier:   On the initiative of Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat, special bank accounts have been opened in this republic, and citizens and organizations are already remitting money onto them. Local grape-growers and winemakers, who had received the Japanese Government’s technical assistance for years, regard as their sacred moral duty to respond to Japan’s tragedy and provide help within their moderate possibilities.
